Attire
Appropriate and reasonable summer school attire is required for attendance.  Tennis shoes or sandals with backstraps are to be worn at all times.  Attire NOT allowed: attire with suggestive words or pictures, tank tops, crop tops showing the midriff, spaghetti straps, low neckline tops, or shorts shorter than 2” above the knee, and slippers.

Attendance
Absences: Should it be necessary for a student to be absent, please call the Summer Session’s office at 247-3092 ext.221 before 8:00 am to state the reason for this absence. It is a school policy that upon returning to school after an absence, a student must bring in a written note to the teacher from a parent or guardian.  If the student has been to the doctor, a doctor’s note is also needed.  If the absence is longer than 3 days due to an illness, a doctor’s note is required.

Tardiness: Classes begin promptly at 8:00 am.  If a student is arriving to    school after this time, please report directly to the Summer Sessions office.

In-school Illness: If a student becomes ill during the school day, the Summer Sessions office will contact the family member designated to pick up the child.  The office will not dispense any medication.

Visitors
Visitors: All visitors must report to the Summer Sessions office prior to proceeding onto the school campus.

Conduct
Students, teachers, and staff are expected to conduct themselves in a Christian manner.  Students are expected to observe the following guidelines:

1.       Always wait in designated areas for class to begin.

2.       Students are not permitted to leave and then return to campus without written permission from a parent or guardian.  

3.       Cellular phones are strictly prohibited on campus.  Phones will be confiscated, and parents will be asked to come into the office to retrieve it.

4.       Chewing gum and/or smoking is not permitted on campus.

5.       Instances of disrespect, profanity, obscene or vulgar language is not permitted, and will not be tolerated.

6.       Instances of treats, physical abuse, bullying, or destruction of property will result in appropriate disciplinary action. 

Weapons of any sort are not permitted on campus, this violation will result in immediate expulsion without consideration of a refund.
